In 2010, Michael began his career as the Executive Director of the Fort Lee School of Music where he teaches guitar and is a leader in his field with the ability to bring together a diverse group of talented individuals.   Encouraging collaboration among students and emphasizing the fundamentals of music, Mr. Gilsinan continues honing his own approach to learning guitar.  His teaching style is creative, fun and challenging.

As a performer, Michael has modernized ancient songs using multinational instruments in concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.; Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia; Teatro Nacional, Casco Viejo, Panama; and Camerata Hall, Paju, South Korea.     

Michael holds a Masters Degree and Bachelors Degree in guitar performance from Mannes College the New School for Music in New York City.
